Criticality! I have been hearing this word all around me as of late in regards to current situations on the Earth. My own life had reached a critical plateau as my structure and foundation continued to disintegrate. I had given myself a deadline of Spring 2011 to make a change. Unfortunately, as spring crept in on me, nothing was forthcoming and in fact, I was only feeling stressed and anxious over a wedding invitation.

My close cousin was to be married and I was scheduled to be a bridesmaid in this gala event. The pressure was certainly on as the financial demands of this event were larger than I anticipated, quite honestly, I could not foresee my way to the wedding. One late evening two women customers managed to schedule themselves into tarot appointments with me. This in itself was strange as I usually do not work in the evening hours and surprisingly, upon conversation, it tuned out these beautiful characters were from Las Vegas, Nevada. How strange and how funny, that was were the wedding was to be held. I proceeded to share my angst over this situation with the women who wholeheartedly encouraged me to travel, promising that they would line up clients for me to do tarot readings in order to pay my way through the trip.

A sign? Possibly but I wasn’t too awake to the information yet. Over the next weeks, as I continued to spin around and around in my own reality, becoming increasingly frustrated with my life situation, I happened to pick up the calling card of the woman from Las Vegas for the first time…on the back of the card were the words, “Make It Happen”. If anyone remembers Paulo Coello’s Alchemist, then you will remember that the universe speaks in symbols and signs. Here was my first guidepost! Without further ado, I booked my ticket and since I was throwing financial caution to the wind, what the heck, I booked a second ticket to my girlfriends in Ashland, Oregon. At that point in time, the shift began to happen. I wasn’t quite aware of the momentum yet, but all those around me who loved me were feeling the immensity of this journey.

Packed and ready…I was off, casting worry to the wind (saying adieu to my husband and four kids), I pledged to just have a rocking good time; rejuvenation was the name of the game. Las Vegas is intense terrain for a sensitive being so thank the Goddess, the higher powers had thought that through and put an incredible energy healer on my path. I would bounce in and out of Lisa’s space every few days to share stories and receive energy from her space and her crystal stone collection. On my last day in Las Vegas, we were doing a healing session together where the energies became so overwhelmingly intense that they sent us both into deep trance state. Upon returning to waking life, Lisa kept asking me, “What the heck was that?” and I would reply, “Our lives just underwent a deep shift.” Although, I really had no clue what that meant. When Lisa and I got in the car to drive me to my exit, there was a mosquito flying around. For those of you who know and love the desert, there are no mosquitoes! Interestingly enough, on the other side of the States, her logical, linear thinking friends, whilst at a barbeque, witnessed a fleet of saucers flying in formation at exactly the same time. Upon this synchronicity, Lisa called her expert energy healer to ask for some clarity into our session; Patrick merely responded that “a portal had opened”. My translation on these events is that the 5th dimensional gateway is fully activated and available to anyone willing to follow the universal clues, signs and symbols!

Okay, another plane, another place…destination, arrival Ashland, Oregon for some real girlie fun, I thought. Haha, the universe does have a sense of humour. It is said that Ashland, once upon a time, was healing & birthing ground for the Native Americans, a vortex of sorts. From the first hours after touching ground in this healing place, I was catapulted into terrain beyond my comprehension. Now before I launch on the magical events in Ashland, allow me to digress.

In Las Vegas, I performed 12 different readings. In each and every one of those readings, Eagle appeared. One client, in fact, had actually found a primary Eagle feather on his land near Hallelujah Junction, Nevada. A primary Eagle feather can symbolize so many things, but what I know from experience is that a primary Eagle feather is going to illuminate all you need to know about your primary relationships, your primary source of income, your primary home, etc… When Eagle flies in, be ready for change, for surely, Eagle is offering the much-needed perspective we have called into our lives. Primary Eagle feather simply sat in Lisa’s space throughout the duration of my Las Vegas journey as she beaded it into further beauty.

Simultaneously, my clients kept choosing a card called “Exemplar of the Pipes” (The Medicine Woman Cards, Carol Bridges) which is symbolized by a woman decorated in a head-dress of Eagle feathers, holding onto her wooden walking stick, sitting contentedly on an orange stone while her decorated deerskin shield sits behind her as protection. The meaning of the card is a wise woman has reached her spiritual pinnacle, she has lived her path and purpose so she deserves to be at home, to play, or to rest, as she is fully adorned and wholly recognized by her community.

I had purchased a walking stick three years prior in Ashland, Oregon but I could not take it on the plane due to length & size restrictions. I left it in the care of my good friend who upon my arrival placed the stick back into my hands. The spiritual significance struck me like a choir from the heavens. I was exactly where I belonged.

I must say, unbeknownst to me, I hit the ground running as 24 hours later I had a career offer that boggled my mind and part of the offer required that I make an immediate decision to stay and work. That would mean no return to my island home, no return to gather up my family, no return to sort through my possessions, no return to have closure… the immensity of the situation was making me distraught, to say the least. Logically, I felt as if this cannot be accomplished and spiritually I knew it must. As I jaguar paced the floor attempting to make my decisions, I passed the clock only to see that the time was 3:33.

A quick check in Drunvalo Melchizedek’s book, “Serpent of Light, Beyond 2012″ told me the answer. If you are not familiar with this book, in it Drunvalo breaks down the meaning of triple digit numbers in our lives:

111 – energy flow: something is flowing to you: money, water, sex, etc…,
222 – new cycle: something new is beginning, wait on next triple # for guidance,
333 – decisions: a fork in the road where your decisions will lead to a 666 which repeat past lessons or to the 999 which means completion and lesson learned,
444 – mystery school: life lessons, real lessons, study, learning about Reality
555 – unity: highest number Christ Consciousness, when someone has attained unity
666 – can represent pure evil, watch out for physical events and exercise caution
777 – mystery school: practicing all you have learned
888 – completion of a lesson
999 – completion of a cycle of lessons or events, spiritual mastery
000 – meaningless

The 3′s were showing me my decisions centered around continuing in life as it was (an unimaginable gorgeous Caribbean dead-end dream) or make a new move, take a leap of faith. Obviously, here I AM in Ashland, Oregon. What I am beginning to realize is that this is my new 5th dimensional learning ground as life has unfolded with supreme ease, where everything I need simply floats my way. As all the spiritual writers have been verbalizing, manifestation happens swiftly after clear intention in the 5th dimension if you are aligned with your path and purpose. Raven, bird of high magic, sat stalking & talking to me as I began my new work project and life path. My life has undegone an extreme paradigm shift…

Spiritually awake souls have been working on themselves for a long, long time now….and even they, we, are going to be severely challenged in this quickening as what we are experiencing right now can only be termed a core meltdown. Death is not about doom, it’s about death, a transformation from the physical body to the spiritual world and back again. With that said I will tell you about my plant medicine journey. I was taking yopo (a different type of plant medicine that must be snorted) with a Shaman here in Belize for the third time. In my vision, I found myself on the Earth in a terrain with no water. I was so dehydrated, death defyingly thirsty. There were dead animals and dead people everywhere and there was no clean water to be found. I could hear drums far off in the forest. If only I could cross this desert terrain to the trees and the drums, I would happily die in peace, I thought. I passed out momentarily and when I opened my eyes there was a angelic, beautiful young lady who resembled my stepdaughter, Sarah, giving me blessed, holy water from a gourd. I still wanted to die, but my body insisted on movement and I made it to the forest where I encountered a group of South American shamans playing drums. As I approached them, their tempo changed to one of such intensity and fearful build up that I willed them to stop, just stop with that horrible beat. They began to speak in an ancient Andean language that I understood well and they said, “She must live through the big bang, she is needed.” All I was thinking then was, “No, no, not the big bang, I don’t want to go there.” But they played me to that place I was fearing with their anxious drum beats. In the end, as with every fear you meet and greet, it was intensely beautiful: the big bang was our forcefully, exceptional, evolutionary altering Earth birth.

When I came through the yopo ceremony, in real life, there was an incredibly sexy Mexican man playing the flute for me and singing my soul back into wholeness.

The Ceiba Tree is the sacred World Tree of the Maya, as such, it has many representations. According to the mythology of the ancient Maya of Central America, where I live, the great Ceiba tree stood at the center of the earth, connecting our Earth world to the Spirit world in the heavens above. The Ceiba descends 9 levels into the underworld, which is not considered hell, but a cold, damp, dark place called Xibalbá. “The presence of the Ceiba in the underworld is a very ancient concept throughout the Maya world. In the sixteenth century, Diego de Landa, first bishop of Yucatan, recorded that the souls of the benevolent dead entered “a place where nothing would give pain, where there would be an abundance of food and delicious drinks, and a refreshing and shady tree they called Yaxché, the Ceiba beneath whose branches and shade they might rest and be in peace forever.” (http://maxwellinstitute.byu.edu) The underworld is in fact not a place of punishment, but a place where darkness may go to be transformed to light.

The bridge from the underworld to the heavens is middle Earth, our Earth. The Ceiba then reaches upward 13 levels to the heavens where Hunab Ku, their Supreme Deity, resides at the top. Every Maya village, both ancient and modern, is centered around a Ceiba as this tree offers protection, enlightenment, prosperity and eternal life. Even today, as forest are being cleared, it is not uncommon to see the workers leave in place their sacred Ceiba, such is its significance to their lives. Hunab Ku, is not only Supreme Creator, but its energy represents the very source from which all consciousness springs. The Ceiba tree and this Deity’s importance cannot be underestimated now in the closing days of the Mayan Calendar.

The Mayan Calendar, which is quickly counting down to 13-0-0-0-0-, will commence with an extraordinary astrological event of our Earth and Sun conjuncting with the intersection of the Milky Way and the Solar System’s ecliptic cycle forming a cross in the sky. This cross has been symbolized by the Maya as a Ceiba Tree and it marks the end of a cycle and the beginning of a new era. The Ceiba Tree, the Tree of Life, is where all life force begins and ends, and sitting in its center is Hunab Ku, often thought of as a God, but which is really a point: a point from which all consciousness originates. A place from which everything is either created or destroyed in very predictable cyclic patterns. Soon our Earth, the Sun and the center of the Milky Way, Hunab Ku, will line up into that Tree of Life design and we will be passing through that gateway, and as we pass through the portal, our consciousness is upgraded, evolved, created anew again. Also, what no longer works is destroyed.

Now, let’s look at this in light of the most recent Earth changes in Japan. An earthquake occurred, and a tsunami followed on its tail. These are two natural events that will occur from time to time on the earth. A lot of people speak about Haarp, quite honestly I do not put much thought into that, as this intensification on the Earth is part of the needed shifting and moving which will get us ready for that upcoming MilkyWay alignment. In fact, there’s much more natural movements to come. What is most unnatural is the nuclear situation that came on the heels of this event. That is catastrophically disastrous and with that said, I even believe this is a miracle. The Galactics have said so many times, they cannot come, they cannot land, they cannot fully disclose until we lay down our nuclear armament. Will Japan lead us to that reality? Will we actually learn our lessons? Germany had 60,000 people form a human line and shield in front of one of their nuclear plants in protest, proclaiming, NO More Use of Nuclear Energy!  Enough is Enough!” Honestly, enough is enough. Aren’t we tired beyond belief of defending ourselves against ourselves? Have we not yet understood that this defense may lead to our own extinction?

When my husband moved to the island of Caye Caulker in 1987, he planted a Ceiba Tree, understanding its significance in the region, his intention was to protect our property. This Ceiba, the only one on the island, grew and flourished! In the year 2000, Hurricane Keith swept through our island, causing much damage including taking down our beloved Ceiba. A devastating category 4 hurricane that left its mark on the people of Caye Caulker with 80% of everyone’s house roofs’ missing, coconuts and other island trees and foliage uprooted, electrical poles knocked over and water supplies contaminated: the Red Cross declared a state of an emergency and requested all women and children be evacuated from the island until a clean-up had been commenced in full. That meant my three children and myself, all under the age of 5, had to relocate to the States, leaving my husband behind in the wake of this terrible mess to clean-up with all the other men.

Weeks later, my husbands good friend came by with an idea on how to help the tree. Together the two of them went at it. Two good souls with pure energy for the land. Together they braced the tree back into upright position. Our gorgeous Grandfather Ceiba flourished again and it sprouted a looper which went onto to be Caye Caulker’s second Ceiba Tree.

Figuratively, literally, or symbolically, 7 billion of us now all stand underneath the shade of the majestic Ceiba Tree. Billions of zombie-like souls exisitng here are at a total loss as to who they are, where they are and what is going on around them. Countless more are heavily sleeping under the tree awaiting a sudden wake-up jolt. A handful of disconnected and disembodied reptiles, disguised as humans, are working hard at taking down this tree for the immense natural resources that lie beneath it. A large army of followers stand at their beck and call ready to dispense their orders. And a handful of chosen benevolent beings are honoring and holding the World Tree in all its light, love and glory. Our efforts have been enormous and our numbers grow rapidly each day as our actions ripple out awakening all the innocent sleepers.

Hold hands now with the next available awake person and let us sing a spiritual song of healing to the Galaxy, “Kumbaya, Hunab, Kumbaya. Kumbaya, Hunab, Kumbaya. Someone’s crying, Hunab, someone’s crying. Come by here, My Lord, Come by here!” Someone’s laughing, Hunab, someone’s laughing. Kumbaya, Hunab, Kumbaya”.

At breathtaking speed, we are racing towards that Galactic Alignment that will offer everyone a place on the Sacred Tree of Life. Say farewell to those going to the Underworld and rejoice in their moment to tranform their lives to the light. Say hello to those kindred souls on middle Earth who are here to heal the damages left over from extremely Dark Ages. And celebrate those incredible beings who will ascend to the heavens to live with the Masters as their work is complete: José Argüelles (January 24, 1939 – March 23, 2011), brought us Earth Day, the Harmonic Convergence, widespread knowldege of the Mayan Calendar especially the date Dec. 21, 2012 and is considered to be the reincarnation of Pacal Votan, Mayan Prophet whos tomb was most recently sealed in Palnque, Mexico. His parting words via his partner, “The message that he wanted me to convey to kin is that everything is now the responsibility of the people who have heard the message. There is much work to be done. He said to tell all kin: “EVERYTHING IS PERFECT!!! Love everyone. Hate no one. God bless everyone.” He will now be assisting the closing of the cycle from the other side of the veil. “Perfect was my time of coming. Perfect was my mission. Perfect was the time of my going. Perfect is the discovery of my prophecy .” Telektonon 11.67 I extend all of my love to everyone in this most heartbreaking (but miraculous) time.”

I stand at my Ceiba this day and I bow down, I am humbled but I stand unafraid as I joyously await our alignment!

Now each one of us is needed to make sure the salmon can find a place to spawn and the bear cub a tree to climb. There is little time left and much effort is needed!”

“The Animals Speak” is a wonderful book by Ted Andrews which offers an in-depth analysis, as well magical and spiritual meanings to many of our worlds animals, birds and reptiles. In the indigenous world, every animal carries a medicine and a message. It is always crucial to pay attention to the animals that cross ones path and their particular significance in one’s life.

Presently, on a global scale, the animals seem to be screaming a few messages at us… Pay attention now to
the whales beaching and dying,
the dolphins aborting,
the millions of jellyfish and hundreds of tons of fish washing ashore dead,
to the bats dying,
or the bumblebee colonies collapsing,
to the birds, birds, and more birds found dead,
or the cattle, buffalo, and other livestock mysteriously dying off,
the bald eagles gathering in mass only to drop from the sky from starvation;
all over the planet there are new animal death stories everyday.

It’s sobering, sad, worrisome and disconcerting. Even the average Joe must ask himself, “what in the world is going on?” I have learned to breathe more deeply, to enjoy the moment more fully, and to have gratitude more often as I say farewell to these magnificent creatures who have graced our lives with their presence. It is becoming painfully clear that we are indeed an intricate eco-system, interdependent on one another and at a loss when large numbers of any species exits the planet unexplainably.

Somewhere in my bedroom right now is a very stinky, rotting and dead lizard. I cannot find where he has chosen to rest his carcass, I can only smell him. It’s truly obnoxious. Lizard can be symbolic of our unconscious dream state. A dead one is telling me to PAY ATTENTION. Dead lizards portend fears and sometimes foreshadowing of dangers ahead. Clearly, I have interpreted this animal’s death as a warning… I make my living on food and luxury services in a tourism industry…where will this industry be in a year from now as food prices continue to sky-rocket and fuel becomes unaffordable? Dead lizard tells me to prepare for a new timeline.

In one day from now, we will all be thrown into hyperspace speed acceleration as the Mayan Calendar enters its last phase of a very long and complex counting system. What we are witnessing is an overtaxed eco-system that has probably reached tipping point. We can soothe are minds by saying that the fish and bird deaths are due to the changing magnetic fields, but how do you explain all the other animal deaths? I take solace in the fact that these events were prophesied and are part of the web of creation back to wholeness, health and planetary balance.

Our world is severely out of balance, has been severely out of balance for quite a while. All of our systems, be it financial, educational, political, religious, health, military, energy, marital and most obviously, environmental are straining under the stressful conditions of an imminent collapse. The animals are merely screaming their message loud and clear: the end of this unbalanced living is near. What is beautiful about every death is the rebirth that follows. Ted Andrews says, “there is no life without death, and there is no death without rebirth. Death always has a loss and a gain balance. All life is sacred and all life is essential to other life.”

So let us look at the meaning these animals carry…
whale: brings us creation, the power of song, & awakening to inner depths,
dolphin: the power & healing of breath and sound,
jellyfish/fish: represent the health of our worlds’ waters,
bats: speaks of transition and initiation,
bumblebees: fertility and the honey of life,
birds: flight, freedom, lightness of spirit and upliftment,
buffalo: manifesting abundance through right action & prayer, and
eagle: illumination of spirit, healing and all creation.
(My list is a reduced version of the hordes of animals deaths!)

Now imagine these animal powers listed above in their death throes. Isn’t it obvious that our world is about to transition? Whale brings us the memory, the history, the records we need to remember…Dolphin brings us the sound and the breath to move through these times, fish calls our attention to the healing of the waters, bat tells us that shamanistic death is at hand, bees warn us that life cannot be sustained without them, buffalo enlists us to correct prayer, and eagle, sweet eagle is starving… he tells us our spirits our bankrupt and so our world is reflecting this state of being, he invites us to live in responsible relationship. Karmically, eagle says that events will fly faster now, repercussions will be realized quicker, and all you do or say- positive or negative- will come home to roost in stronger ways. The animals are speaking, the animals are always speaking, are we listening yet?

On the last phase of the Mayan Calendar which is only 260 days, the gestation period of the birth of our Mother, one must tread softly, cautiously and with much awareness, as Eagle is telling us, all of our actions do carry much weight! Kindly remember “All are part of an ecosystem. All are necessary for every other aspect. Everything that occurs in nature repurcusses upon us. Everything that happens to us, repurcusses upon nature. Though we may like to remain seperate, we are not. We may not recognize the repurcussions, but they are real, nonetheless, and She (Mother Nature) would honor that.” Ted Andrews

In all five of my births, I was excited and thrilled to be bringing a new life to the planet. In all five of my births, when the time came to labor, I was scared.
I am thrilled and excited now, I am also scared. The wave of energy on the planet is engulfing me, the forces of nature are taking over, this birth is about to happen. Who, I ask is immune to this feeling? I take a deep breath and I call upon my favorite totem, Dragonfly, to protect the rainbow warriors and keep us always and forever in the power of the light!
